Do you have a question for Sue?
Which parts of the UK do you cover? I will happily drive for 2 to 3 hours from my home in Cardiff, South Wales to play for your special day. You’re worth it!

Do you do destination weddings? Absolutely! I totally understand how challenging it can be to arrange a wedding overseas, and would love to be one of your trusted suppliers.
Do you provide a piano? Yes, all bookings include my beautiful fully-weighted Roland piano encased in a stunning white Dutch Grand shell. I can also hire in a black shell if this better suits the occasion and aesthetic. My package prices can be reduced by £100 if you would prefer me to just supply the piano without the shell, or to use the piano or organ in your venue.
Will you use the piano in our venue? I always take my own piano in case the one supplied by the venue hasn’t been tuned for a while or is not in good working order, but I’m very happy to use the venue’s piano if it sounds good and this is what you would prefer. It helps to know whether the venue’s piano is acoustic or electric as an acoustic piano, while fine for a ceremony, will generally not be loud enough for a reception. (A group of people eating, drinking and chatting makes quite a bit of noise!)
How long does it take you to set up It takes 45 minutes to set up the piano and shell, but I always arrive at least an hour beforehand, to allow me time to get glammed up!
Can you set up the shell by yourself? Unfortunately, I am a bit scrawny in the muscle department, so need another pair of hands to help get the shell in and out of the car, and into position. If it’s a local gig, I will arrange someone I know to help with this, or alternatively arrange for someone at the venue to help out. If you’d like to volunteer, please let me know!
Are you happy to perform outside? Yes. All of my equipment is portable, so all I need is a relatively flat surface and one electricity socket. Rain and electrical equipment are not the best combination, so if rain is forecast, I need to perform inside, but will always find a way to bring my musical magic to you come rain or shine!
How many songs can I request? You can request as many songs as you like, but most couples find it more helpful (and less overwhelming!) to just tell me a few personal favourites and allow me to suggest others.
Can you play xxx? I have never yet turned down an advance request for any song!
The song we would like to walk down the aisle is quite a heavy rock song. Can you make this work on piano? Yes! I am renowned for arranging songs for solo piano and will always find a way to make a piece work. So far, the most unusual request I have had for a processional is Darth Vader’s Theme to be played in the style of Beethoven, but if you think you can beat this, bring it on!
Do you work with other musicians, such as a singer or cellist? I love playing with other people (being a solo pianist can get lonely!) so have a long list of talented musicians to collaborate with. Anything is possible. Just ask!
We’re getting married in church and the vicar has suggested we use the organ. Is this OK? Yes, I can play the organ, but do please check whether it is in good working order, has recently been tuned, and that someone in the church has the key for it! If not, I will bring in a digital instrument and large speakers, and use this to recreate the sound of an organ.
If you have any more questions, please feel free to message Sue here. She's always more than happy to discuss your event over email, phone or Zoom.
